Introduction
Near Bhira in Maharashtra, India, is the Devkund waterfall, also known as “Bathing Pond of Gods”. It is the source of the Kundalika River and is the junction of three waterfalls. The trek takes about three hours from Devkund to the base village. You will pass a dam backwater as well as dense forests on the way. You will trek through semi-dried forests, with flowing rivers and routes that cross the forest. Because of the dense forest, it is recommended to travel with a guide.

Experience:
The trek takes approximately two hours for one side. However, you’ll be able to see a lot of beauty along the trail. Bhira lake is the most stunning scenic view. It has a small wooden hut at the bank of dense forest.
You will see lush greenery and small waterfalls along the trail. Crossing rivers is the best experience. It is difficult in monsoon season because of the high water level. If you look up you will see the beautiful blue sky and white clouds above the mountains.
The sound of the waterfall grows as you hike closer to it, increasing your curiosity about reaching higher altitudes. You can’t resist getting into the reservoir once you have reached the destination.
Because the majority of the trek is flat, it is ideal for beginners.
The best time to visit:
Monsoon season is the best time to visit waterfalls. Rain is the main factor in how much water flows into the streams. You can still see good flows up to mid-October. Heavy rainfall can make it dangerous to trek, and the waterfall may be closed to visitors depending on weather conditions.
It is highly recommended to speak with local villagers and guides before you start your trek. You can also experience a smaller waterfall if you start your trek earlier.
